How to create a backup of your ShieldPRO plugin settings

Best way to create a backup of your ShieldPRO settings is using the Import/Export feature. 

To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the main Shield menu > Config > Tools > Import/Export

2. Export your current settings to a file by using Download Options Export File option

   

3. Save file anywhere you want

A backup of your ShieldPRO settings will be saved in a file. You can then use this file to import settings to any site you need to. To import a file, you'll use Import From File option.

For example, if you want to proceed to export your staging site to your live site, you may lose your preferred ShieldPRO configuration that you had on your live site.

If you have a backup of your ShieldPRO plugin settings (exported your current settings to a file) you may easily re-import them immediately after any staging-site export.
