How to add Shield’s 2FA/MFA UI anywhere on your site
Until now Shield’s 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) interface was only available in the User Profile UI in the WordPress admin area.
But now, you can offer
2FA/MFA to your customers and clients in your frontend website or customer area.
With
ShieldPRO you can add exactly the same user interface as seen in the WordPress admin area, to the frontend with the use of a simple WordPress shortcode.
We’ve adjusted the UI to ensure that the user experience in either formats (backend or frontend) is identical.
And, to make things simple, we’ve kept the UI simple and mostly un-styled so that it should pick-up styles from your theme automatically. And, if you do want to add some styles, it should be quite painless to do so.
The shortcode to use is:
[SHIELD_USER_PROFILE_MFA/]
What MFA options will be available on your frontend and your WP admin area depends on the options you have enabled for your users, under the Login Protection Zone.
Please also note that, this is not used for the login process but designed for the logged-in users only.
