What Are The Security Admin Restriction Zones Options?
Security Admin Restriction Zones options are the part of the Security Admin system. They allow you to restrict access to key WordPress areas for all users not authenticated with the Security Admin access system (security PIN).
Important: To use these options, please ensure that the Security Admin system is turned on (you've created your security PIN) first.
What are the Security Admin Restriction Zones Options?
Security Admin Restriction Zones options are accessible from within the main Security Zones menu > Security Admin. (see screenshot below)
Access to the Security Admin Restriction Zones options
The options available are as follows:
- WordPress Options - Prevents tampering and accidental changes to the core WordPress configuration.
- Admin Users - Prevents creation, deletion, or demotion of WordPress administrator accounts.
- Plugins - Restricts access to key WordPress plugin actions: update, activation and deletion.
- Themes - Restricts access to key WordPress posts and pages actions: theme editing, installation, update, activation and deletion.
Pages - Restricts access to key WordPress posts and pages actions: page/post creation, editing and deletion.
Note: If you’re running a WordPress WPMS site, the only options that are restricted apply to the Network Administration Area:
- Administrator email address
- New Site Registrations
- Site Title
