Plugin/Theme Guard: What is the File Types option?

Note: This option/feature is no longer applicable to the latest version of the Shield Security plugin and is here for reference purposes only.

There is usually no need to scan every single file. We've added the few most important file types:

  • php
  • php5
  • js
  • svg
  • htaccess

If you want to add another file type, simply take a new line in the text box and provide the file type extension:

Note: You do not need to provide the dot(.) for the extension. Just the final letters. So if it's a PHP file, you provide "php"

If you want to scan every file, regardless of type or extension, then clear all items from the list. - This is not recommended as it will greatly increase scan times and also lots of notifications if a particular plugin writes temporary files to its own folder.
